What Rocked My World This Week!

Image

Ulta had an awesome deal on O.P.I. nail polishes this week, 2 for $15!

So I snagged Privacy Please for my fingertips and Bright Lights –  Big Color for my toes.  Love these for summertime!

My sweetie left me love notes each morning he was gone; what girl wouldn’t have a smile on her face!?

When we traveled up to Northern California to see the family, my sister and her husband took us to Double Barrel, a wine bar.  The owners were from Laguna Beach which made it even more awesome and to top it off, our server was so nice and made great suggestions for wine!

I loved finding this sign in the bathroom at Double Barrel– little meaningful moments.

If you are lucky enough to live at the beach, you are lucky enough.  My gorgeous view.

Our jungle is finally in bloom!  So many tomatoes, flowers, peppers ad herbs popping up.

It’s never a bad day when you feel like you are in Hawaii.  Found this guy while walking to the beach.

i got so many wonderful compliments on this maxi dress.  I love how the colors look like watercolor pants have been splashed all over it.  It’s a sheer dress which makes it so versatile, I’ll wear it with a red body hugging skirt and snug black crop top underneath or throw it over a bathing suit and jean shorts.  Perfect to dress up or down!

After a really long day, discovering an inexpensive bottle of wine to take home is always glamorous.

Last but certainly not least these Risa Sandals by Tilden are simply amazing.  Perfect strappy summer heels!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Pretty In Petals

Image

My sister came to visit me this past week- for one day.

Yup, she is awesome.  She took a flight from San Francisco to Orange County, landed at noon and left the following day.  The day was filled with sunshine, shopping, good drinks and then we ended up at Mastro’s Ocean club for some more cocktails and amazing food!

Anyways- As we were shopping in downtown Laguna Beach she kept saying, “You are such a hippy!”  or “You belong in the 70s!” This couldn’t be more true.  I’m a true hippy/gypsy/mermaid down to my bones.

Which brings me along to this post!

Flower Power Biatches.

Cropped, skinny, maxi, decorative and head dresses; however you like your florals, they compliment EVERYONE and give you a girly look that you can play up, play down or go Bad Girl RiRi on their ass.

Magic Under The Sea

Image

Struggling for inspiration these past couple of days, I came across something magical this morning where pearls and sea shells danced across my computer screen.  From that moment the obsession couldn’t stop.  Google was clicked and Chanel Mermaids was typed in the search box. After that moment, hundreds of images and posts about Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 popped up and all you could see was mermaid.  From the ocean colors to the oversized sea shells, pearls being applied to the human flesh (straight down the back),  slicked back hair styles, scale-y designs and metallic over linings; the inspiration was endless.

As an artist and an explorer in search of constant inspiration and beautiful things I thought I would just share this tid-bit of coolness with you.

Enjoy!

The Knot Par-Excellence

The classic bow tie is a favorite staple among fashionista’s and fashionisto’s alike.  Able to be worn casually or formally, the accent of the first neck knot comes in an array of colors, textures, fabrics and designs.

For me, the jabot (French, Pronouned Ja-bow) is one of the most inspiring pieces of fashion out there.  Mixing this little piece of menswear with your own girly (or not so girly) wardrobe is the perfect way to pull any outfit together.  One of the many reasons this is a favorite is because of how versatile the bow tie has become: jeweled, bedazzled, metal, even as a necklace for us ladies.

For men, you can never go wrong with the bowtie. Worn with a classic blazer, alone with a button up shirt and jeans or with your tux; but don’t go “Chip and Dail” on us, I mean… Unless you really want to (Think Channing Tatum).Image
